Feeling Lonely: Things You can Do.

In my recent article we had talked about loneliness. Now let’s know about some things you can do while you are feeling lonely.

Here are some things that you can do while you are feeling lonely.

1. Reflect yourself.

If you don’t have an obvious reason for your feeling, you must find out the reason for your loneliness. Explore your emotions and hear yourself.

2. Learn to enjoy alone time.

Sometimes people who are surrounded by people don’t know how to handle time and their loneliness like growing up with siblings, surrounded by friends and always surrounded by peoples for long period of time.

If you can relate, instead of trying to find people why not try finding activities that you enjoy like reading books, watching movie, working on some short-tasked project by yourself or just relaxing yourself from all your work.

3. Take a social media break.

seeing pictures of other whooping around with their friends and enjoying their company might make you feel more lonelier than you can expect, and it might not be truth that they are all enjoying each other’s company.

So, whenever you feel lonely for seeing all this then remember:

Social media is a place for people to showcase what they want the world to see.

4. Volunteer.

Research has proven that volunteering helps in boosting feeling of social connectedness, with both mental and physical benefit.

Not only do you benefit from the interactions with others, but you can remove mental focus from yourself.

5. Nurture your relationships.

Give your relationship time and attentivity it deserves.

 It’s so easy to get distracted, caught up in work, errands and social commitments that the seemingly urgent things in life get higher priority than those that really matters most in the big picture.   

6. Be Proactive.

It’s easy to always get caught up in things like “nobody cares about me” when you are feeling lonely which might not be true. So, sometimes you must remind yourself interactions works both ways. People get busy. It doesn’t mean they doesn’t care.

Get yourself a little nudge to send a text, pick up a call or initiate a mail to a friend.

No matter how much lonely in you are in life how much frustrated or depressed you feel because of it.

Remember that there is always a person in your life who loves you to their fullest and will always be with you. For some people they come early in their life and for some they come late.

Also, never forget to love yourself first in all conditions. Give yourself priority. You are precious.

  1. Nice thinking 👌 it might help for loneliness but it may disturb your time management like using social media it disturbs your time management because you can’t set time for the social media once you start using it you will end up spending more time then expected.
